Love the fast paced melody-driven way you compose boss music. Sounds like it will be awesome in game!

Pheanir responds:

Thank you for your kind words, I am glad you enjoy the music.
I like to compose tracks that start at 160 bpm ++, it always gets me so energized and ready for things~ =)

Sounds awesome man! I love your chord progression dipping into minors, you really know how to accompany it with your voice. Also you're great at keeping the song ambient without over-reverbing, awesome. <3

floorboardofficial responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!

0:13 gave me goosebumps. You are GREAT at introducing cohesive instruments! Your melody and the chords you chose to accompany it sounded fantastic, too. I feel like the song could have benefitted from adding percussion a bit earlier, the bit at 2:25 sounded awesome and seemed cut a bit short. Really great song though, enjoyed it.

ily so much man

I really love the melodies you have in here. <3 Right when I was thinking that the song could benefit from a softer portion your interlude at 1:23 hit and sounded great. Definitely makes me feel at ease

Vista-Sound13 responds:

I am glad that I did a nice job, buddy! Thanks for the awesome words! :)

I think I said this in an earlier review but I love how melody-driven your music is. It's dynamic and exciting! And being that the platformer it's made for is fairly simple, I think the repetition and remix of your original theme throughout it sounds great, I'm sure it'd very easily get stuck in my head playing the game.

octopus58 responds:

Thank you so much! I do hope this would be a song that would catch on for players haha
I love making melody driven stuff, it's one of the most exciting things about game development for me. So I'm very happy you like it :)

I love the pace of this, and your instrument choices! I'm imagining a video game character floating above a nighttime city skyline. Definitely putting this on a chillout playlist

wilidacious responds:

thanks!

This is awesome! I think it definitely captures both feelings you're going for. I really love fast, melody-driven music for platformers as well.

octopus58 responds:

Thank you so much! I'm very glad what I intended got to the point here :)

This is so soothing. <3 I really like the tempo you chose for it.

LexRodent responds:

Thanks !
Glad you enjoyed it.

This is the first submission for Pixel Day I've heard that is almost totally centered around the percussion. I think it's awesome! The ambient melody in the back really makes each noise so vibrant.

Quarl responds:

lol, I've been keying that melody for months now. Felt good to get it recorded into a track :D

I really loved the sound of every instrument coming together at 0:27. <3 The ambient droning noise in the back gives this song such depth as well. Awesome for something you created so quickly!

larrynachos responds:

Thank you so much! I wanted to do way more, but my computer is nearly kill ;-;

Thanks again for listening and reviewing :)

Live well and let music guide you
